In less than three weeks will start the Aircalin Match Racing Cup in Noumea, New Caledonia. The Grade 3 event will be held from 15 to 18 August 2019 and will welcome 12 skippers sailing in Elliott 6 boats.

The locals sailors Cyril Fortin or Yann Rigal who won the Trophy last year will be there as will overseas crews from Sydney, Pittwater and Auckland.

Title: Aircalin Match Racing Cup
Concept: Best Caledonian locals crews and crews from the Pacific region compete in a duel.
Match Racing: Inspired by the America's Cup, Match Racing is a special form of regatta. This is a duel, an equal battle on the water (exactly the same boats), a crew against another crew.
Boat: The event will be sailed in Elliott 6 type boat
Crew: Consisting of three or four crew
Rank: Open, women, youth (under 23)
Edition N degrees 8
Event grading 2019: Grade 3
Organizing authority: The Organizing Authority (OA) is the Cercle Nautique Calédonien (Nouméa Yacht Club)
