The latest group of eligible sailors have received their Barranjoey Pins during an exciting evening that also saw the NSW State Awards being presented.

Held at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia last weekend, eleven distinguished athletes were presented with their Pins by Australian Sailing Vice President and Pin recipient #85, Sarah Kenny, who spoke of the importance of highlighting the outstanding achievements of past Australian representatives.

Initiated in early 2018, the Barranjoey Pin has been designed to acknowledge the legacy and history of Olympic and Paralympic class sailing in Australia and to recognise the achievements of those who have competed and continue to compete at the highest level for Australia in sailing

Proceedings opened with recipient #36 and two-time Olympian, Sir James Hardy, receiving his pin after competing at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games in Enoshima Bay, fittingly, the same venue for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
