Three British Sailing Team athletes finished inside the top ten at the 2019 Laser World Championships - a clear sign of the strength in the squad a year out from Tokyo 2020.
Rio 2016 Olympian Nick Thompson led the British charge finishing in fifth, narrowly missing out on a podium place by just four points.
World Cup Series Enoshima 2019 winner and chosen Olympic test event representative Elliot Hanson was seventh, with recently crowned European champion Lorenzo Chiavarini in eighth.
The strong results demonstrate the depth of the British Laser squad as the one-year countdown to the start of the Tokyo 2020 Games approaches later this month.
The top spot went to reigning Olympic champion Tom Burton of Australia, with compatriot Matt Wearn in second and George Gautrey of New Zealand third.
Brit Michael Beckett, the 2018 European silver medallist, finished 21st while Jack Wetherell came home 43rd.
