With a little more than one month to go until the start of the 2019 Melges 24 North American Championship (NAC) the International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) in direct coordination with the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association (USM24CA), is thrilled to be tipping the participation scales with an impressive 46 entries.

Taking place August 15-18 in Traverse City, Mich., the Grand Traverse Yacht Club (GTYC) is making final preparations to welcome an onslaught of some of North America's toughest Melges 24 runners and riders. And, part of the arrangements includes signing on some of the industry's best regatta partners, on- and off-the-water.

"We are very fortunate and extremely grateful for the massive support of our sponsors," says Regatta Chairman Scot Zimmerman. "It is because of contributions from internationally recognized partners such as Quantum Sails, Boston Whaler, Mercedes-Benz, Melges, and Costa, as well as our local area businesses, the 2019 NAC is on a course for great success."

"We specifically want to thank Baird Wealth Management, Irish Boat Shop, TruNorth Financial Group, Sail22, Coral Reef Sailing Apparel (CRSA), Folgarelli's, The Center Plastic Surgery and Skin Care, Crew Facility Services, Snowden Commercial, West Bay Boatworks, Off Grid Food Co., Third Coast Insurance Agency, and Prestige Worldwide."

As the event draws closer, planning will continue right up until the start, includes the vetting of teams that anticipate competing in the all-amateur, Corinthian Division. The deadline for qualifying as Corinthians, is Wednesday, July 31.
