The race course of Riva del Garda is ready to welcome, from July 5th to 7th, the third act of the Melges 32 World League 2019, event that anticipates the arrival of the Melges 20 fleet in the following week.

The event of Riva del Garda represents the seasonal mark rounding for the Melges 32 World League, as it stands in the middle between the two inaugural events in Sardinia and the awaited World Championship of Valencia, great finale of the 2019 season. The races of Riva del Garda will play a key role in determining the development of the Melges 32 World League ranking, since they will unveil who will arrive at the finals of Barcelona as leader of the standings.

The 2017 and 2018 World Champion, the Russian Tavatuy by Pavel Kuznetsov, presents himself to this challenge as the "number 1" of the world ranking, with only two points of margin on the Italian team of Caipirnha of the Martin Reintjes, one of the teams that best knows the conditions of Lake Garda.

Also the Monegasque G.Spot by Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio (winner of the 2017 series) is ready to attack the leadership of the ranking, following Caipirinha with just one point of delay.

Among the teams aiming for victory, we also find the Argentine Donino by Luigi Giannattasio (winner of the first event in Villasimius), Mascalzone Latino (who became European Champion in this same race course in 2016), Giogi by Matteo Balestrero (Reigning Champion of the Melges World League) and Torpyone by Edoardo Lupi and Massimo Pessina (European Champions in 2017).

Luisa Bambozzi, CEO of Melges Europe - "Lake Garda is as always a highly anticipated and desired event for all our teams and this year it comes at a key time of the season which makes this event even more spectacular in the water.
