D-One National Championship at South Shields Sailing Club - Preview

This year's D-One National Championship will be held at South Shields Sailing Club, Thursday 8th August to Sunday 11th August. Enter online before Sunday 7th July to receive early entry discount. Prizes sponsored by Rooster.

South Shields have a busy race and social programme planned for the D-One sailors to enjoy this August. Thursday 8th August will provide sailors with an opportunity to get out onto the water to experience the sail area, and take part in a series of practice races. A crew will be on the water to video the practice races and this will be used in a competitors training debrief in the evening. Racing will start the next day, with three scheduled races Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The club will be hosting socials each evening.

On the glorious Italian Riviera, east of San Remo The D-One has always specialised in a very international travelling circuit to pleasant locations around Europe, so was hit hard in the Covid era.
