2019 CITGO Etchells World Championship at Corpus Christi Yacht Club - Day 4

The results are in for the fourth day of the 2019 CITGO Etchells World Championships. Magpie was the big winner today with first place finishes for both races 7 and 8, and that is on top of yesterday, where they another pair of bullets! They re now just 5 points stern of clubhouse leader, Havoc.

Race 8 had an exciting showing from the two female skippers, who were in combat for first rounding the first mark. Jeanne- Claude Strong rounded the mark in first followed by Shannon Bush. They ended the race in 2nd and 4th respectively.

The wind was a steady 8-10 knots for the first race and 12- 14 knots for the second and east southeast.

Today’s winners are:

Race 7: 1. Australia’s Magpie 2. USA’s Warcanoe 3. New Zealand’s The Horn

Race 8:
1. Australia’s Magpie
2. Australia’s 1435
3. Australia’s Tango

Cumulative leaders are:
1. Havoc
2. Magpie
3. Stella Blue.
