Question: What happens when two inspirational young sailors, who are cruising their way around the world on a 37 year old boat, meet with some of the World's top sailors at the recent SailGP event in New York?
Answer: A fascinating insight into what goes on behind the scenes, as the teams prepare for these full on events.
Dan and Kika are far from stereo-typical 'blue water cruisers'. They are living their dream, sailing their way around the World on UMA, their Pearson 36 built in 1972 and creating fabulous content to tell their story.
This couple decided they did not want to "buy a couch" and all the material things that go with conventional careers and settling down. Instead, they've chosen to blog and video their amazing experiences and adventures, for sailors and non-sailors alike to share. So far, they've sailed 14,869 miles, visited 24 countries and have over 109,795 followers to their channel.
As brand ambassadors for Zhik, Dan and Kika connected with the Sail GP Australia team and were given exclusive access to the recent Sail GP event, getting behind the scenes to meet the sailors and have ring side seats to watch the racing.
