The race course of Club Nautico Scarlino delivers once again great races, today in occasion of the Garmin Day, opening day as a "warm up" to the third continental event of Melges 20 World League 2019.

The Garmin Day is unquestionably dominated by the Russian crews, since at the top of the special ranking of the day (not valid for the World League count) we find, in the order, Russian Bogatyrs by Igor Rytov, Nika by Vladimir Prosikhin and Alex Team by Alexander Mikhaylhik.

A day characterized by wind around 10 knots and 180 degrees of direction, that allowed the complete three trials of the highest technical and competitive level as it always happens when it comes to Melges 20 World League races.

Russian Bogatyrs, after today, confirms (being the current number 1 in the Melges World League world rankings) that anyone who wants to even think about making the stage of Marina di Scarlino their own, will have to deal with the crew who, at the moment, seems to be the most competitive boat on the Tuscan race course.

The Russian hegemony in the top five is only broken by Pierluigi Giannattasio's Argentine Boogie.

Tomorrow, in the Quantum Race Day, the fleet will race for the first points of this Act; the name of the crew who starts in "pole position" is known to everybody and that will be the team to beat.

The Melges World League 2019 is supported by Helly Hansen, North Sails, Tiirenia, Quantum Sails, Garmin Marine, La Thuile, Rocket Performance, Revi Trento Doc, Loison Pasticceri dal 1938, Rigoni di Asiago, Dai Dai, Norda, XPouf, Le Formiche di Fabio Vettori, boutique hotel Rifugio Azul (Minorca) and Rifugio hotel Lilla (La Thuile), One Ocean Foundation. The Melges World League is also backed by the team partners UYN (thanks to Brontolo and G3Bau Sailing Team) l'Enoteca and Camarca Caffè (by Fra Martina Sailing Team).

The event in Marina di Scarlino is supported by the local partners Club Nautico Scarlino, Marina di Scarlino, Vivaio Principina, Birrificio Forte, la Bottega di Adò.

Melges Europe and Melges World League strongly support One Ocean Foundation and Charta Smeralda.
