There was a disappointing turnout for the Solo and Streaker open at Bassenthwaite SC on Saturday, shared with the Lasers. The forecast earlier in the week was to be wet and windy and in the morning it was certainly wet, although the forecast wind did not materialise.

The seven Solos present produced a high standard of very competitive racing resulting in protests in races two and three resulting in DSQ's for leading sailors. Overall John Reekie from Bassenthwaite won counting two firsts and Tony King also from Bassenthwaite was very pleasantly surprised to be promoted to second as a result of the protests!

The two Streakers present enjoyed some competitive match racing with Mike Fairlamb from Bassenthwaite ending victorious.
