The fleet set out for a 10am start with up to seven races on the cards. However the wind had other ideas and died as soon as the competitors arrived on course.
After three hours of waiting around on a gorgeous winters day the race committee decided to get through one race in order to complete the series. With little more than three knots blowing on an almost slick surface and after one general recall the boats set off, hoping to make the thirty minute race cut-off.
Barry Cuneo on Envy, new to the series, crossed the line first with Mcconaghy close behind. Overnight front leaders Super Vax 24/7 were back in the pack but this mattered little and easily held onto first place for the regatta.
