26 nations to compete at the 2019 Pan Am Games

Panam Sailing is pleased to announce that the overall distribution of country spots to all eleven of the sailing events in the 2019 Pan Am Games set to be held in Peru has been confirmed.

Sailing has experienced an overall 20% growth in participating countries from Toronto 2015. A record breaking 26 nations will be sending 168 athletes and 120 boats to compete in the 11 events at the Lima 2019 Games.

With the added attraction of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Sailing Competition Country Qualifications being offered in five events - the Men's and Women's One Person Dinghy, the Men's and Women's Skiff and the Mixed Multihull events - as well as the first-ever participation of Open Kiteboarding, a great regatta is expected in Paracas, Peru, in August.

The table below lists the 26 nations that will be participating in the Games, along with the number of events in which they will be competing and the number of athletes they will be sending. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have until 26 June 2019 to submit the names of all athletes.
