Want to enjoy an epic weekend of partying and sailing for charity? Come join us on the east coast for this classic event this July 6th and 7th. The East Coast Piers Race 2019 is back and with some tweaks!

The weekend starts on Friday when the FREE on site camping opens up (along with the bar) so you can set up base and boat bimble to your hearts content before the sailing begins on Saturday, where the line up is for an "inshore" series with multiple races to warm everyone up for Sundays long distance races.

Sunday begins with our unique fleet wake up call to get you revved up for a day on the water, with the 48 mile 3 Piers Race for the fast cats, the 27 mile Colne Point Race for the slower / single handed cats and fast dinghies with a py up to 980, and the Bradwell Race at 13 miles for boats now up to 1046 py.

We have several classes making the event part of their national series, which gives the sailors a welcome change to the standard racing formats, and if your class is interested for this year or next please get in contact via

We've also go Sportography coming along to get fantastic footage of you all in the Essex sunshine, fake tan optional!

Event features:

  • Mother boats (yachts) at every mile of the course to help if needed - this is on top of our RIB support fleet
  • FREE fleet tracking from Sail Racer for spectators and safety
  • FREE on site camping Friday to MondaySaturday BBQ included in entry
  • Cheap beer with all proceeds of sale going to charity thanks to local brewery Mighty Oak
  • Festival atmosphere with live band
  • Raffle prizes from our generous sponsors
  • A warm fuzzy feeling of partying and sailing for charity
  • Part of the Allen Endurance Series
  • Photography from Sportography
