This is a unique event, the Derwent Sailing Squadron's Short-Handed Series on Hobart's vast River Derwent, with divisions for three-up crews, two-up crews and spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions.
This year's series has attracted 35 entries and more to come, ranging from SB20 sports boats to ocean racing yachts such as Whistler, winner of the 2018 Melbourne to Hobart Westcoaster Race, and, newly located in Hobart, Midnight Rambler, skippered by Ed Psaltis, a veteran of 37 Sydney Hobarts and winning skipper of AFR Midnight Rambler in the tragic 1998 Sydney Hobart.
