The Frensham Lark Open Meeting continuously run for 51 years - was held on 14 April.

The wind was chilly form the East, an ideal direction for the otherwise shifty Frensham! The first two 50-minute races were led from the start to finish by Stuart Hydon and Ann Biglin who made the most of the tight three sail reaches. There was a real tussle for second and third positions between Glenn Enkel/Julia Batchelor and Neil/Sue Firth.

The third race turned into a tighter contest with some challenging beats. Eventually Stuart and Ann pulled away to establish a good lead. Unfortunately, Neil/Sue and Glenn/Julia suffered navigation problems and sailed the wrong course on the final lap allowing Nigel and Fiona Denchfield into second and Chris Ellis / Hannah Carruthers into third.

The final race saw the battle for second. From the start Garry Packer and Anna Harakova piled into the first mark just behind Neil and Sue. A battle then ensued with Stuart and Ann pulling away. Behind them it was Glenn and Julia who took second ahead of Phil Whitney / Linda Williams who managed to hold Neil and Sue off to finish third.

As usual the hospitality at Frensham was second to none.

Overall Results:

1st Stuart Hydon & Ann Biglin (Shustoke SC)
2nd Glenn Enkel & Julia Batchelor (Mayland Sea Bay SC)
3rd Neil & Sue Firth (Banbury SC)
4th Chris Ellis & Hannah Carruthers (Frensham Pond SC)
