There was an amazing atmosphere for the Monkey Fist Night Race on Saturday with a big crowd on the lawn, music playing, entertainment for the smaller kids with the DD ice cream stand being a big hit!

We had perfect conditions for the race with a good 15 knot wind that gradually eased throughout the night. It was great to see so many teams battling it out and performing some very slick change overs on the beach. Congratulations to all of the sailors who braved the darkness and participated in this unique event.

Thanks to Remy we had brilliant prizes to award at the end of the evening. A massive thanks also goes to everybody who helped out on the night, your efforts were hugely appreciated!

Believe it or not we only have one more Sunday until the Gladiator Challenge and then it is our Closing Day Party to end this Summer season. We are still waiting for a couple of clubs to set their winter series dates which is delaying finalizing our Winter Training program. Hopefully this will be completed and circulated next week.

Trophies: It is that time of the year to find all of the trophies that were won last year and return them to Goldy for redistribution at Prize Night. Please have a hunt, dust them off and bring them in.

Help needed with Windsurfing Equipment: We have had a huge influx of super keen participants into our Youth Windsurfing program and we are in desperate need of assistance with some gear. If you have any 4.00m - 5.5m rigs that you no longer use they would be a massive help to us. We can put them to extremely good use and would be able to get the new girls program up and running.

Performance Squad: We are most of the way through the initial fitness testing with the remaining testing to be conducted on Sunday March 31st. Don't forget to bring your runners!

Girls Try Windsurfing Sessions: Due to all of our boards being committed every week we have put a hold on the start of this program until we can organize suitable equipment. Stay tuned for news in the coming weeks!

Friday afternoon training: The days certainly are getting shorter and we are rapidly running out of light. It looks as though April 12th will be our last session.
