Great racing run by a top race team, sailing in beautiful surroundings, excellent hospitality, camping on site... lambs on the fells, bunnies in the club grounds and daffodils on the shore... what more could you want for a memorable Easter?

Ullswater Yacht Club's first open event of the season, the Daffodil Regatta is being held on Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21. There'll be daffodils galore at the prizegiving as UYC joins in Ullswater's spring celebrations in praise of Wordsworth's favourite flower.

The racing is open to all classes and is a travellers event for the Musto Skiffs (Northern and Scottish Circuit), Waszp, Moths (Northern Tour), RS200s (Northern Tour), and Aeros. Racing will be split into two fleets. All fleets will sail seven races over the weekend - four on Saturday, start not before 11.30am, and three on Sunday, start not before 11am, with a briefing at 11am on the Saturday.

Visitors are welcome from Friday, April 19, and with no racing until Saturday, there's an opportunity to enjoy everything the most beautiful lake in Cumbria has to offer. Try walking, mountain biking, climbing, take a trip on an Ullswater Steamer, get in some last minute practice or just relax, soak up the scenery and tuck into the chocolate eggs.

There's camping and campervan parking on site and the UYC galley, with its range of delicious home made food, will be open every day from 9am. Evening meals are planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday please book by noon with the galley.

Entry to the event and booking for camping is through the UYC website at ullswateryachtclub.org/event/335606 Online entries close at midnight on 17th April. Entries can be made at registration on the Saturday, subject to a £10 surcharge.
