RNZ2019: Motorboat suspends racing, Titanium wins Leg 2

The Short Handed Sailing Association report that one competitor Motorboat II, has suspended racing in the NZ Sailing Foundation sponsored Round New Zealand race, and are heading to Dusky Sound to repair a damaged prodder.
The race leader, in the two-handed event, Titanium were first to finish in half Moon Bay, Steward Island, just before 1100hrs having sailed a great leg from Mangonui, a distance of 920nm.

Motorboat II have suspended racing and are heading into Dusky Sound to clear the remaining of their broken prod and tidy up, planning to be back racing within the hour. Howver as at 1530hrs they were still in Dusky Sound but showing a speed of 2.5kts
Krakatoa are planning on doing the same at Jacksons Bay to make minor repairs and tidy up.
Katana SUN FAST 3600 have pulled the next section of track from their mast in the night then decided to suspend racing and got a rope around the prop, looks likes they seem to be underway, they are still working on a plan but are hoping to get to Stewart Is for the next leg one way or another.
The others all report to be well but it’s getting cool. The scenery of the southern alps is great as they can see land for the first time in a week
Earlier Gale Force reported: Had a great night last night in the end, managed to sail quickly towards Jackson Bay, then reach across it at pace. Once we reached the lighthouse on the point, it all came to a stop, and still we bob around. Coppelia appears to have got around us, Katana has unfortunately had a few issues, and suspended racing. We think we can see Krakatoa sneaking up the land, which is odd, there was no here when we tried it! I hear Titanium has finished, amazing result, nice work Shane and Chris. Scenery beautiful, which is great, we have lots of time to enjoy it at this pace.
