RPYC Club Open Day © Royal Perth Yacht Club

There was plenty of activity on Sunday and plenty of competition for rigging space on the lawn! The last half of the season is looking good with all of our training fleets back in action after the school holidays.

We will be welcoming quite a few newcomers with Ben, Jordyn, Sam, Fedor and Alex all graduating from Tackers and Start Windsurfing courses joining our training program.

RPYC Club Open Day

we will be holding our Open Day this Sunday starting at 1600 with opportunities for visitors to get out on a keelboat, try one of our SUPs or Tackers Optis for the kids. Plan to stay around after sailing for the band, really cool lawn games and very well priced meals. Contact Goldy if you can assist.

Monkey Fist Night Race

This unique event will be held on March 23rd for Optimists and Lasers and promises to be the biggest yet. It will coincide with the keelboats starting later and there will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family including non sailors!!. Sailors have the choice of competing as a solo sailor or in a team of 2. The race will start at 1700 and finish at 2300 so start chatting to your friends and get a team together or you can just do it on your own.

Margaret River Wave Classic

Huge congratulations to Kai Marns-Morris for his win in the Youth Division of this major event. Kai's achievements this summer have been outstanding and a great example of the diversity of opportunities that windsurfing can offer all Junior and Youth sailors.

Performance Squad

The development of our Junior and Youth sailors has progressed extremely well over the past few years and we are now in a position of having a number of our sailors achieving extremely good results in both State and National competitions. As a result of this we will be introducing a Performance Squad program designed specifically to cater for sailors who are aiming for top level performance at a National and International level. We are extremely fortunate to have Fabio Canto leading this program. Fabio is highly experienced at an International and Olympic level and will be a huge asset to this exciting new program.
