OK Worlds: Germany wins NZ Nationals

Germany's Jan Kurfeld won the Open 2019 OK Dinghy New Zealand National Championship at Wakatere Boating Club, sailed over the weekend.
The regatta is a preliminary regatta ahead of the Symonite OK World Championships which get underway on February 7, from Wakatere Boating Club, on Auckland's North Shore attracting a fleet of 110 boats.
Just four points separated the top four boats in the 83 boat fleet.
Second overall was Nick Craig (GBR) with Luke O'Connell (Worser Bay) in third and first Kiwi. Fourth overall was Fredik Loof, who trained in the Finn class sailing in the Hauraki Gulf for many years. Loof returned to the class only last year winning the European title and placing second in the 2018 World sin Travemunde, Germany.
