The second day of racing in the Tauranga Cup, the national championship for P Class was again cancelled due to strong northerly winds gusting to over 40kts - as recorded at nearby Wellington Airport.
However the 28 strong fleet is expected to race on Monday, with the strong winds expected to ease in the afternoon. Racing is scheduled to be attempted to be started at 0900hrs on Monday.
The regatta is being held at the Evans Bay Yacht & Power Boat Club, on waters near the Wellington Airport.
