The grey skies at Girton Sailing Club were brightened up by a turnout of twelve boats, crews eager to shake off the Christmas day excesses by competing for the last title of the year, the annual Boxing Day Bash.

Wind was light but usable and Amie King (Supernova) soon found her form by working her way to the front of the fleet to take second place behind club commodore Paul Hardman (Lightning) in the first of two pursuit races, she was followed by Joanne Daubney, (Supernova) in 3rd place, and Edward Johnson in 4th.

In the second race it was the ladies again that took up the challenge and Ed Johnson had to battle hard for a second place finish, between Amie (1st) & Joanne (3rd) all three sailing Supernovas.

Overall Results:

1st Amie King (Supernova)
2nd Edward Johnson (Supernova)
3rd Joanne Daubney (Supernova)
4th Paul Leafe (Moth)
5th Paul King (Laser 2000)
6th= Bob Warriner (Mirror)
6th= Paul Hardman (Lightning)
