VETUS has expanded its range of stern gear equipment with the introduction of the triple-lip ZWBH dripless shaft seal. Offering extra security at a competitive price, the latest model includes a self-aligning inner bearing and the addition of one extra lip seal to keep the water out.

Developed for use with water-lubricated stern gear, the oil and grease resistant, minimal friction ZWBH is flexible to absorb shock and vibration and features an updated monoblock design with proven performance.

The unit has a 10mm vulcanised hose pillar for water injection and is supplied with two stainless steel hose clamps and grease.

Constructed using 65-70 shore NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) with brass hose pillar, the ZWBH seals can withstand a range of temperatures between -15°C and 85°C, making it extremely durable. The unit has water and grease injection points and is designed to require minimal maintenance alongside annual lubrication with silicon grease.

It is suitable for VETUS bronze, steel or GRP stern tubes and will be available to fit 25mm, 30mm and 35mm shaft diameters.

VETUS Marketing Manager Babette van Waes said: "The new ZWBH demonstrates the continued commitment of VETUS to develop our renowned stern gland systems. The updated design works in the same way as the trusted ZWB seals, but with three lip seals for added reliability and peace of mind. This rugged, highly-durable stern gear seal is able to withstand a wide range of temperatures and will give the maximum performance while requiring minimal maintenance."

The ZWBH25 has an export price of €60 +VAT.

All ZWBH shaft seals are supplied with a three-year VETUS warranty. For more information on the VETUS ZWBH see vetus.com.
