Record number of yachts join the Down Under 'Go West' Rally

72 Yachts from 14 Countries have joined the 2018 'Go West' Rally - Offshore Cruising Preparation course being held in two locations © Daria Blackwel

Having set sail from New Caledonia and Vanuatu at various times over the past couple of weeks, 43 of the participating yachts have already arrived in Australia and the remaining 29 are expected to depart and arrive in the next 10 days. The majority have chosen Bundaberg as their port of entry. Welcome Week kicks off in the Bundaberg Port Marina on Wednesday the 7th of November.

Offshore Cruising Preparation Course

The goal of the Down Under Rally & Sail South Pacific in regard to this course is to provide all those who are interested in making offshore passages with the view to spending time cruising in different countries and or in remote locations with information, skills and the confidence to achieve your cruising goals. We believe that over the duration of your cruising term you will receive your investment in this course back many times over.

Southport Gold Coast QLD Course:

Date: Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th November 2018
Times: 1.00 pm - 5.00pm Saturday / 8.00am – 5.00pm Sunday
Course location: Southport Yacht Club, 1 Macarthur Parade, Main Beach, Queensland, 4217

Newport NSW Course:

Date: Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd December 2018
Times: 1.00 pm - 5.00pm Saturday / 8.00am – 5.00pm Sunday
Course location: Royal Motor Yacht Club, Broken Bay. 46 Prince Alfred Parade Newport NSW 2106
