Around 300,000 players are expected to take part in the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe on-line game, organised by Virtual Regatta. With twenty-four hours to go, more than 100,000 online sailors have confirmed their participation, and are preparing to experience one to three weeks of intense racing (depending on the category chosen).

Virtual Regatta, the world leader in online racing, is the official game of the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe, a solo transatlantic race between Saint-Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), which will start tomorrow, Sunday 4 November at 14h00.

The online game Virtual Regatta Offshore is open to everyone, even without any sailing knowledge. The game features an interactive tutorial and a refined interface, which allows different types of players to participate: the most advanced online sailors can access all the weather and strategic options offered by the real race, while the novices benefit from an easy and didactic introduction to the game.

Four categories are available to users: the Ultimate Class, IMOCA monohulls, Class40 and Multi50.

Virtual Regatta also offers an optional team game, which allows you to compete in the race with friends or colleagues within a company, including a private classification and a messaging system reserved for the group.

For registration see www.virtualregatta.com/index_vroffshore.php

See you on Virtual Regatta and in Saint-Malo on November 4th at 2pm!
