Give your sailing skills a workout at the Palm Beach Sailing Club's annual Bullets regatta held this year on the weekend of November 17 and 18.

Running now for more than 50 years, the 'Beware the Bullets' regatta is open to any off-the-beach catamaran. It's a fun, friendly weekend for all ages on beautiful Pittwater, and if you're a gun – a real test of your sailing skills.

This year the regatta includes the NSW Taipan titles, plus we're expecting more than 50 boats to compete in six classes: Hobie Cat 16, Hobie Cat 18, Taipan, Formula 18, A Class and Weta.

Boats will rig and launch from Sandy Point, (via Sandy Point Lane), while the actual Palm Beach Sailing Club is located on Iluka Rd. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at a reasonable price by our friendly Club members.

We recommend you book accommodation as soon as you can. Campers could try the stunning Basin Camping Ground. Our Club will run a shuttle service to / from the Basin for competitors. See www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/campgrounds/the-basin-campground

Another option is the Lakeside Holiday park at Narrabeen, just a 25 minute drive to the club. Visit www.nrmaparksandresorts.com.au/sydney-lakeside

"We encourage any catamaran sailor to come and compete in our annual regatta" said Richard Lacey, Commodore of the Club. "The more boats the more fun. Pittwater is a great place to race but can also be challenging, so skill and luck will both play a role in who comes out on top".

Notice of Race, on-line entry form and Sailing Instructions can be found at www.pbsc.org.au
