29er Class
Four races were run for the 29ers, and the two Australians team are still leading the way. At this stage Emilie Bouchet & Robin Chantrelle are third with 35 pts. Corentin Goulon & Valentin Akaliteao (39 pts) want to take that place! They won a race today.
The women's fight is between New Zealand team Carringthon Brady & Grte Pilkington, and local sailors Camille Goulié & Mahina Dauris. At this stage Camille and Mahina lead the female ranking.
Summary of the day
The third day of the championship began with the presentation of the bibs for the first three in the open rankings: yellow for the first (Asnlee Daunt & Tom Needham), pink for the second (Luke & Matthew Rogers) and orange for the third (Emilie Bouchet & Robin Chantrelle). A rather solemn moment to recall the challenges of the day and who is the leader.
Faces are starting to show the fatigue of the four previous days; it is an intense exercise for competitors and supervisors.
The four races were run in a medium/light wind: 8-10 kt ENE.
Tomorrow, the program is the same as today: four races to run.

Optimist Series
Today the wind was changing and getting a little stronger in the afternoon, and the competition between Australia, New Zealand and Aurel Martin was tough. The international competitor's level is very high, with only a few locals in the first spots, thus helping the New Caledonian sailors to grow and figure out where they stand on the international stage.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Allianz Championship and the competitors still have chances to turn the results around.
