SHK Scallywag Fuku arrived back at RHKYC shortly after 21.00h this evening, after reporting a broken foil, mid-afternoon, and some 90nm out of Hong Kong.

"We hit something about 20 minutes before it went," reported a crew member on the dock. "There was a big bang, and a cloud of spray, and then it all settled down. We weren't pressing hard, but then there was some wobbling, and all of a sudden it went. That put the nose down. This boat doesn't go well without the foils! So we backed off, and now we're back here. We had a real boat race on, but not any more."

Standing by on 72.
