Light wind today for the first day of the Allianz Championship. The 29ers started early this morning and had two races with a variable wind around eight knots.

The course was tactical, from side to side... The teams had to manage setup of their boats and find the right angle to progress as quick as possible. At the end of the two morning races, the Australian crew led by Asnlee Daunt and Tom Needham felt comfortable and won both.

Second overall is a Caledonian team, with Camille Goulié / Mahina Dauris on seven points. Corentin Goulon and Valentin Alakiletoa are in third. The boat were onshore this afternoon but the wind had disappeared.

They'll be back on the water tomorrow morning for a new series of races.

Optimists

This morning was devoted to the booking of the racers. The competition started at 1pm for the green fleet with a race in a very light wind. First place went to Numa Barriol-Gourand, second to William Simons and Callum Simons finished third. The open fleet has not run due to no wind.

Tomorrow the races start at 9am.
