The weather at Fuxian lake was slightly better during the second day of the FAREAST 28R World Championship. Gradually the crews are getting more familiar with the boats and the lake conditions, while the rounding and start are getting tighter and more intense.

With an average wind of 6-11 knots, the weather conditions were much more stable than the day before during races three to five. The two Philippine teams raced very well and many sailors were surprised about their overall performance and boat handling. By the end of the day Team Standard Insurance 1 was on top of the leaderboard, and their second team on place four!

The current World Champions, Team Griffin from Sweden scored an OCS in race four and so did the Singapore Team, who moved down in the ranking.

The top three boats on the leaderboard are now from three different continents, proof of a real World Championship!
