The second Fareast 28R World Championship is taking place at Fuxian Lake, Yuxi China, starting from 8th – 14th October 2018. 26 teams out of 14 countries coming from 5 continents have gathered here for the glory of the world championship title.

After registration and measurement, all the teams went into the water for the practice race during yesterday's rainy afternoon. It was Wilfersail Racing Team representing Netherland that took the lead.

Before the practice race, the women’s match race between team MMXV from Denmark and Team USA was held at 11am just in front of the club pontoon, to showcase women’s bravery, courage and talent in sailing. Anna Holmdahl White, the commercial director of Women’s International Match Racing Association gave a live commentation, together with Mats Runstrom, the secretary of International Fareast 28R Class Association. Team MMXV was the winner with a 2:1.

The opening ceremony was held in the evening at Angsana Fuxian Lake hotel with beautiful local dancing and delicious food. All the sailors enjoyed the party and now they are really looking forward to competing on water soon.
