The grand finale of the GC32 Racing Tour will take place from the 10th to the 14th of October in Toulon, France.

The fifth and final event of the season, the GC32 TPM Med Cup will once again bring together the international elite of sailing on flying catamarans and name the winner of this state-of-the-art sailing circuit.

Amongst the front-runners in the overall ranking after winning three events, Franck Cammas' team has a seven-point lead on Realteam. Winners of the European circuit in 2016, Franck Cammas and his well-trained, united team are experts in multihull racing. Together they make up a formidable crew and this week are again aiming for victory on this international circuit with NORAUTO.

Franck and his team know this Mediterranean port well, having sailed here on the French event of the America's Cup World Series in the AC45 back in September 2016, something that plays to the advantage of the NORAUTO team as well as the other America's Cup skippers who are competing here on the final event of the season.

"In terms of the atmosphere, it is great to be racing this big final in France. On the other hand, the forecast suggests there will be testing conditions for racing. An easterly wind is forecast all week. It is going to be gusty, with choppy seas, not ideal for foiling and exploiting the full potential of the GC32. There may be 8 knots on land and 20 knots 300 metres further away, which can be quite tricky with flying boats accelerating very hard. We will first and foremost be battling against the weather conditions. Between gales and waves, we will have to master the boat and succeed in getting through the tough conditions. It will also be fun to race against the young crew of Team France that will be present and see Realteam, Zoulou and INEOS TEAM UK again, and we will be trying to hold them off one last time. In any case, plenty is going to happen, it is not going to be an easy regatta," says Franck Cammas.

The NORAUTO team will again be facing sharp competition, but this time racing on home waters and to top it off, in the skipper's home region, an energy boost that will be reinforced by the presence of dozens of employees of Europe's leading car maintenance company and a stand at the race village.
