Bayliss 75' construction update: Teak laid and flybridge developing quickly

The teak on Bayliss 75' took huge leaps this month! At the same time, the flybridge is developing quickly; now in final primer, our electrical crew has begun wiring the console. In the cockpit, the teak deck has been installed, while further shaping will come for the coaming and coverboards.

The big stunner this month has been the completion of the teak aft bulkhead. The teak patterning on this build is certain to be a standout, which is clear in the graining on both the aft bulkhead and transom. In October, our paint crew will be diving into the varnish process on both pieces of teak; a feat taking great time and skill.

On the inside, the salon and galley areas are starting to take shape around the newly-installed sycamore lighting valence. Upper level cabinetry has been installed in the galley, while fabrication on other cabinetry components for this area continues. The lower level is looking more and more like a completed project each day. The VIP, Crew, and Master staterooms are filled with cabinetry, while the finer details are on the horizon now, including headboard fabrication in both the Master and VIP staterooms, and the completion of the laundry closet.

Before this year ends, you can expect to see this build running her first sea trials and sporting her shiny top coat and full tower!
