Sailability Scotland SCIO had the final sailing regatta held at Lochaber Yacht Club, Fort William on 15 and 16 September. The winner of the event was Jessica Campbell sailing the Challenger boat called Moy's Toy. Jessica sails at Galloway Activity Centre, Loch Ken.

Jessica is also the top sailor this year winning the overall Challenger class Traveller Championship, with Alex Hodge from Clyde Cruising Club (Bardowie) in second and in third place Stephen Thomas Bate from Annandale Sailing Club.

The chairman of the charity, Dik Toulson, says "This has been a great year for disabled sailing in Scotland. We have been supported by Mr Boyd Tunnock MBE and as a result we have had more disabled people sailing than ever before. A huge thank you goes to all the sailing clubs that have supported us and hosted our regattas throughout this year."

The Challenger class boat is a solo boat although a buddy seat can be fitted to assist new sailors or those that need help on the water. It is a trimaran which is very stable which is good for beginners and yet fun to sail which meets the demands of more experienced sailors.
