2018 Optimist World Championship at Famagusta Nautical Club - Day 4

Half way point for the fleet racing in Ioannideia 2018 Optimist World Championship and with the completion of the qualifying round, the start of the Team Racing took place yesterday.

A light breeze of eight to ten knots came in around 13:30 and the participating National Teams gave it all, for a place in the finals today. Team USA, last year's championship team, was there to defend its title and managed to go through to the finals, but there were also some very strong performances from Team Italy, Singapore, Argentina and Brazil.

Some great battles are to be expected on the final day of Team Racing today with many really strong match-ups.
