It is not often that one of Australia's fastest racing yachts becomes available for sale. However this is the case with the Cape 40 "Mr Kite".
Listed on "Race Yachts", an exclusive brokerage established in 2000 by World Champion sailor Jason Rowed, "Mr Kite" was designed by Andrew Cape and built in 2005 by Boatspeed, Gosford, NSW.
In 2009 "Mr Kite" was extensively refitted and optimised by Australian Naval Architect Fred Barret. The refit opted for a more traditional lay-out while retaining many of the technological advancements of the original concept.
"Mr Kite", an IRC rated Cape 40 is a full carbon construction with a High Modulus rig and composite rigging.
The canting keel ensures super-fast performance that gives an exhilarating performance around the race track.
It is simple to sail and will suit a full crew or short-handed giving a guaranteed fun, fast and exciting experience.
"Mr Kite" has taken line honours in two Launceston to Hobart races and was the first 40 foot yacht to finish in the 2012 Sydney – Gold Coast Race.
The sale includes a large inventory of sails, many as new, and Cat 2 Safety equipment.
Reduced for a quick sale at 185,000 AUD.
