The J/70 Australian Championships will be held on the weekend of 1st-2nd December 2018, at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in Kirribilli.
The J/70 is the fastest growing one-design class in the world, with over 1,600 J/70's distributed in the 5 years since her launch. The J/70 is a 7m sports boat and its design, capabilities and class have encouraged sailors of all ages, genders, shapes and sizes to again enjoy sailing and competitive racing. The J/70 is the perfect combination of an accessible design and unquestionable performance.
The National Championships will be held on the beautiful waters of Sydney Harbour.
"The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron is delighted to be hosting this event for the growing J/70 Sydney fleet. With such strong growth in this class overseas it's hard not to see a similar story evolve here in Australia. We are looking forward to seeing dynamic racing from this relatively new class and welcome the J/70 sailors to the club" said RSYS Sailing Manger Declan Brennan.
Notice of Race will be published shortly on www.rsys.com.au/sailing/regattas
