Alonso Collantes wins 2018 Pan Am Test Sailing Event in Paracas, Peru

Reigning Sunfish® World Champion Alonso Collantes (PER) found Paracas' conditions to his liking to take honors at the 2018 Panam Games Test Event. The regatta was used to test logistics in anticipation of the upcoming 2019 Pan American Games, with the sailing events scheduled August 3 – 10, 2019. Rounding out the top five were Martin Alsogaray (ARG), Caterina Romero (PER), Eric Oetgen (USA), and Alejandro Mago (PER).
With Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States, and host Peru, already qualified for the 2019 Pan Am Games Open Sunfish® event, there are still three berths available at the 2019 ISCA South American and Caribbean Championship to be held in Paracas in February 2019.
