With the major components of our magnificent new Belize 66 motor yacht completed and brought together, our craftsmen have turned their attention to the detailed elements of the exterior.

The Belize 66 Sedan will have her World Premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in the United States beginning on October 31 this year.

Moulds for the large teak-laid swim platform, shown above, are being built. The platform is made in two parts. Two thirds of the platform will be fully submersible to assist in tender launch and retrieval while a smaller section remains fixed above the waterline allowing the crew to launch the Brig tender without getting wet feet.

The photo above shows the impressive targa wing positioned on the sedan hardtop. This wing will hold the motor yacht's communications aerials. The large circles on either side indicate where the two TV domes will be placed, one a sophisticated TracVision TV6 satellite dome and the other a free-to-air aerial dome.

Forward on the hardtop are three fixed skylights with the larger space for the electric-opening sunroof further forward.

Forward, the massive sundeck with its large sunken U-shape lounge area is taking shape. Hatches for the lockers on either side that will store the lounges have been positioned and the stainless steel frame for the fold-up canopy that can be utilised to shelter the entire area is in place.

The teak capping rail around the bulwarks is also in place and the specially oval-shaped bow rail added.

The photo above left also shows a trim around the brow of the hardtop. This is a 21-metre-long teak trim that wraps around the hardtop and will be coated in high gloss varnish. Hidden immediately under the trim will be LED lights. Riviera Motor Yacht Specialist and Belize project manager Doug Nelson describes the effect as a "blue halo around the hardtop".

The team has also completed timber templates for the wrap-around windscreen and the side windows. These have been sent to a specialist tempered glass manufacturer.

Preparations are well under way to build the luxurious interior of this magnificent new motor yacht.

The fully moulded helm units seen in the photo above have been positioned and will have all electronic instruments, screens and dash panels pre-fitted before being painted with the classic Belize colour and texture.

Doug Nelson says the team is particularly excited to now be able to walk through the interior spaces of the motor yacht, from the engine room to the forward stateroom.

"We are finally able to see the entire shape of this motor yacht as the design team envisaged," he said.
