Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron are offering places at their successful International Foiling Camp.

This is the second time the three week long camp has been run, and the first since the club won the America's Cup in Bermuda.

The camp was first launched in 2017 and had 10 students from around Australasia take part in what was the first event of its kind in this part of the world. The sailing is completed on the RNZYS’s two foiling Nacra 20 foot catamarans and is held in two halves, with one half being run out of the RNZYS base in Auckland and the other out of the Kawau Island Boating Club.

The Kawau portion of the camp runs from December 16th – 24th and involves a Nacra safety course, match racing training, theory sessions, fitness testing, training and nutrition. Then the second portion back in Auckland from December 25th – 12th January focuses on short course Nacra racing, an in house Nacra 20 regatta, as well as Keelboat and offshore training in Elliott 7’s, MRX’s and members keelboats.

The coaching on hand for this camp is world class and is led by NZ Extreme Sailing Series Skipper Graeme Sutherland who is supported by Olympic Nacra 17 sailors, professional Match racers including Chris Steele, and members of the highly regarded RNZYS Performance Programme.

Expressions of interest are now open for this event for more information click here a brochure on the clinic can be seen here
