Newport International Boat Show © NIBS

Greetings friends and fans of the Newport International Boat Show! Summer is flying by, as it does every year, and before we know it, the largest boating event in the entire Northeast will be here.

Our show team is busy placing all the pieces of the thirteen-acre, waterfront puzzle together which includes exhibitors from around the world who will be showcasing the latest and greatest in boats, marine equipment and services, plus nautical gadgets and lifestyle products. All of this set against the historic wharves of Newport, laden with local shops and restaurants to explore after the Show. Newport is America's First Resort and September is a boaters' best time to be here!

Visit our website to stay in the know about every brand and model of boats that will be at the show, plus highlights, seminars and tips for making the most of your time at NIBS.

Free educational seminars hosted by the U.S. Power Squadron (USPS) now called America's Boating Club

New this year, America's Boating Club will offer free educational seminars to all Boat Show attendees all four-days. The topics of these seminars include; How to Read Weather, About AIS, How to use a modern VHF/DSC Marine Radio, Using Radar, Anchoring Techniques, etc. We recommend registering online in advance as these classes have limited seating. The seminars will take place at the Newport Blue Café across the street from the main entrance to the show. Click here for a list of courses and to secure your seat today.

Back by popular demand....confident captain's at the helm training courses

Freshen up your boating skills, or take to the helm for the first time, with Confident Captain's hands-on training courses. It's the perfect way to test the waters. All experience levels are welcome. Both power boating and sailboat courses are offered all four days of the show. Check out the program schedule and register today!

Afternoon sailing excursions aboard the tall ship SSV Oliver Hazard Perry

America's newest educational tall ship will be docked at Fort Adams State Park during the Boat Show. Spend the morning at NIBS, and then take an afternoon sail aboard the 200 ft. Tall Ship. Or join a deck tour on Sunday. For more info and to sign up, click here.
