Scattered thunderstorms in the morning, no breeze, and an ominous afternoon forecast grounded the 145 sailors competing in this year's U.S. Youth Sailing Championships, hosted by the Carolina Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.

The sailors used the opportunity to rest, re-group, get some coaching, and prepare for Wednesday.

The final day of racing takes place on Wednesday with a tentative first warning signal scheduled for 10:00 am ET.
