Home Build International Moth Blog 6: The invisible mainsheet system

It has been a while... but now I have a rig that works with no visible kicker or mainsheet system. Yes, there are a few little tweaks to do to get a perfect closed foot onto the deck, but the system works and is as smooth as silk.

By removing the conventional kicker set up I have reduced a huge amount of the loads forced onto the boat and reduced the amount of purchase needed to gain the desired sail shapes.

All in all, I am really happy with my new platform and cant wait to get it on the water.

Foils are expected in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned for its first sail on the water very soon.
