Australian Sailing Team at the World Cup Final in Marseille - Day 1: 470 crews tough it out

Australia's two 470 crews have made a solid start at the World Cup Final regatta in Marseille.

After a delayed start due to lack of wind, the afternoon sea breeze kicked in with Mat Belcher and Will Ryan sailing to 3 and 8 in the opening two races to place 4th in the 18-boat fleet.

Nia Jerwood and Monique de Vries came back from 20th in the first of the women's division races to grab a 6 in the second race. They are 12th in their 20-boat fleet.
