Don't miss your chance to try dinghy sailing and windsurfing foiling all weekend at the National Watersports Festival (NWF) with free taster sessions.

Visitors can try foiling under expert supervision at next month's festival (8-10 June), allowing them to experience the thrill of foiling for themselves!

Two RS Aeros, adapted with foils by Glide Free Design, will be used for the sessions. Spaces are limited and allocated to visitors on a first-come first-served basis, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

To take part, sign up to the dinghy and windsurfing foiling taster sessions at the RYA event trailer on the day or you can register your interest today.

"To get the most enjoyment from these fantastic foiling taster sessions, sailors must feel comfortable sailing a singlehander in a force 3 to 4 and windsurfers should be at a level where they are planing in their harness and footstraps," explained RYA Chief Instructor for Dinghy and Windsurfing, Amanda Van Santen.

Paul Outram, RYA Coach Assessor and principal of ASWC (Reading) is running the dinghy sessions. He said: "We are really excited to be running the dinghy foiling tasters at the NWF which helps showcase the discipline of foiling. The sessions are a fantastic way to start foiling in a safe environment and with a few pointers it won't be long join before you join the flight club and literally take off!"

NWF is being held at Rutland Water in the Midlands and celebrates 'everything watersports' with stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and diving all on offer along with sailing and windsurfing. There'll also be racing, demos, live music, local food plus camping available on site.

If you enjoy your taster session, why not book on to the RYA's new pilot foiling courses: RYA First Flights, Sustained Flights or Performance Flights? For more details visit rya.org.uk/go/sailfoil or rya.org.uk/go/windfoil
