Doyle Sails NZ are on the lookout for energetic, ambitious people to join our world-leading team of sailmakers.

This is your chance to join an expanding international sail making loft, to work alongside some of the top sailors in the world and be involved in some leading edge sailing projects, such as the Vendee Globe, SuperFoiler Grand Prix, Maxi 72's, J Class and many more. With the next America's Cup to be held in New Zealand, already the New Zealand marine industry is experiencing an upsurge in business and it is only just the starting.

Doyle Sails NZ are located in West Auckland and located in a marine hub which has major sparmakers, composite builders all within walking distance of each other. Doyle Sails are vibrant, expanding organisation working in an exciting era for sailing. Doyle Sails are owned by sailmakers working in the business in New Zealand.

To top it off there is plenty of sailing, racing and cruising on nearby Waitemata harbour, plus a range of other outdoor experiences from skiing to diving and surfing within three hours drive of the Doyle Sails loft.

If you are a sailmaker living outside New Zealand - read on - Doyles are interested in working with you to get to New Zealand. For those already living in New Zealand, it is even easier.

The following positions are available:

Experienced Sailmaker

Looking for someone with at least one year's experience with references. Potential international travel to our other main lofts in USA, UK and Palma. For the right candidate we are prepared to pay for flights to New Zealand in exchanges for a commitment of 6 months.

Sailmaker Apprentice

Entry-level apprenticeship for those looking to start their career in the yachting industry. Our sailmaking apprenticeships often lead to international travel and offshore opportunities, as well as providing the chance to advance in sailing and yacht racing.
