In the last two editions of the Volvo Ocean Race, fans have been able to see video and images as the Volvo Ocean Race fleet rounds the landmark which has been feared and respected by generations of sailors going back to the beginning of time.
Captain Bligh tried to round the Cape, the wrong way in March 1788 - and tried for three weeks before giving up and headed for the Cape of Good Hope instead.
230 years later the Volvo Ocean Race rounded the same landmark, going the the right way and the Volvo Ocean Race team was there to record the action.
