Countdown begins to Tilley Endurables Falmouth Classics 2018

With just three months to go until the start of the UK's largest classic boating event, The Tilley Endurables Falmouth Classics 2018 is set to be bigger and better than ever.
Tilley Endurables, the UK and European distributor of Tilley Hats, continues as the title sponsor of the event for the third consecutive year.
Over two hundred classic yachts are expected to participate in the three-day regatta, which will include two days of racing and rallying. The event culminates with two stunning displays; the Parade of Sail and Power for vessels over 20' in Falmouth Harbour, and the Parade of Small Boats in the Inner Harbour. This year's Parade of Sail and Power will be lead by two Royal Navy P2000 patrol vessels, HMS Charger and HMS Biter.
An all comers rowing and sculling competition will take place in the afternoon on Saturday 23rd June around the Greenbank Hotel and there will be plenty of onshore activities. For instance, Falmouth Haven Pontoon will be open to the public twice on the Saturday for a close up look at the huge variety of beautiful, classic boats moored alongside with donations to the RNLI and Coast Medic. In addition, the Maritime Village on Custom House Quay returns this year with demonstrations of traditional skills and retail stalls selling nautical-themed items.
The three-day annual regatta coincides with the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, which attracted over 60,000 people to Falmouth in June 2017, making it an exceptional time for both locals and visitors. This year 65 groups are expected to perform around the town.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for partner sponsors providing a fantastic chance for local businesses to contribute to Falmouth Classics. Any money raised will be re-invested in order to improve the event for future years.
