After digging their way through the snow, SSW's Jon, Fiona and Lottie managed to get to the RYA Dinghy Show just in time to set up the stand for the company's 1st birthday party.

British Olympian, Sophie Ainsworth led the celebrations, leading a 'three cheers' for SSW, before doing the honours by cutting the amazing SSW cake, baked by Emily Sydenham. British 470 sailor Flora Stewart did a fantastic job pumping up the crowd as Sophie continued to hand out cake to a large gathering of hungry show-goers who had popped by for the occasion. Olympic gold medalist, Giles Scott was also spotted tucking into a slice of cake whilst sailing fans grabbed a moment to chat with him on the stand.

The combination of sailing celebrities and chocolate cake was truly amazing, as more and more people arrived to join in the fun! At one point, Sophie Ainsworth gleefully passed two whopping chunks of cake (with extra icing) to British Teammate Amy Seabright and SSW Winter Series leader, Ben Flower. Needless to say, the two of them made light work of the challenge, polishing off the cake with gusto!

In no time the cake was gone, Sophie having gamely served up over 60 slices. Lottie commented, "We are so grateful to everyone who came along to help Sailing Southwest celebrate the occasion of our 1st birthday and they can't wait to do it all again next year."
