It was another spectacular day for the Kiwi team at the JJ Giltinan on Sydney Harbour as Maersk Line, Honda Marine, C-Tech and Knight Frank keep chipping away and stay in the clear on the leader board.
Race 6:
The drop came into play after Race 6 and it was Smeg that took the win in a race that once again provided a lot of snakes and loads of ladders.
But C-Tech gave them a run for their money and kept them on their toes during the entire race, even taking the lead off Smeg at the bottom mark for the final time. At this point Maersk Line was holding onto third with Honda Marine 6th and Knight Frank 10th.
But at the top of the course Smeg managed to take the lead off C-Tech with Maersk Line in 3rd and Honda Marine, who scratched their way to 4th. Knight Frank was in 5th.
Screaming towards the finish and it was Smegs race. C-Tech followed in 2nd with Maersk in 3rd, Honda Marine in 4th and Knight Frank in 6th. Another great race for the Kiwis.
“Great to finally have a good day,” said Skipper Lee Knapton post race.

Race 7:
Race 7 was another stressful race for Kiwi spectators with Smeg up at the pointy end of the fleet again. But it was Honda Marine’s race and they kept control of the fleet from the second top mark rounding.
Honda Marine spent the rest of the race covering the fleet, including their fellow Kiwi team members Maersk Line. They did however had a tussel with Smeg at the final top mark and were forced to do a few turns to exonerate themselves.
Maersk Line was also tickling the top of the fleet, and their consistency is definitely paying off.

The fleet gets a well deserved rest on Friday 9th March and then it’s back to racing on Saturday and Sunday for the final two races of the series. Like we always say, it’s till anyone's game. It ain't over until it’s over.
